INSTRUCTIONS

To wear, cut the bottom hem open at your desired length. The fabric will roll inwards 5—10mm. A hemming stitch is not required.

To clean, warm machine wash and lay flat to dry. The tag says don’t bleach, but it probably won’t ruin the shirt—sometimes stains are just really hard to get out.

To change colour, boil in a natural or synthetic dye bath. I recommend leaves, bark, galls, or nuts—gathered from your favourite space in nature—or Procion MX.

To print, silkscreen directly on fabric. For suggestions and artwork, please mail dave@clark-robertson.com

To pattern, use acrylic paint mixed with a fabric medium and apply desired design with a brush. Once dry, warm iron to set.

To repair, hand stitch holes, rips, and tears.

To dispose of (assuming that you’ve tried everything above first), bury 100mm below the surface of the earth. Stop and take stock of the moments in your life shared with this shirt.
